Paula Santa Vicente Pérez

Paula Santa Vicente Pérez gets part of her name from her great-grandmother, whom she never knew but whom her mother loved very much. She was born in Salamanca, and studied there until she wanted to find independence and drink tea. She lived just long enough on the Emerald Isle for her family to call her ‘the Irish one.’ After that, she returned to her hometown.

She is passionate about the sea, and every time she reaches a shore, it asks her to stay. She likes the smell of salt, and living inland. She always wears purple, a color with which she identifies and coexists.

Paula has a twin sister, who, if she were to write a biography like this, wouldn’t be able to mention anything about names, islands, seas, colors, or animals. Paula writes, in a way, for that reason—to leave proof that, despite a certain physical resemblance, they are completely different. You can find more of her writings on the Instagram account @relatos.qwe

Paula Santa will be in residence during the month of August 2025.
