Natalia Romero (1985) was born in Bahía Blanca, Argentina.
She holds a degree in Communication Sciences (UBA) and a Master’s in Creative Writing (UNTREF). She has published the poetry books Puede que la muerte mienta (Pánico el pánico, 2022, Argentina), El principio luminoso, and El amor sostiene el peso de la noche (Caleta Olivia, 2019 and 2024, Argentina), as well as children’s books ABC, Mi primera cocina (Periplo, 2018, Argentina), Dónde está lo que no está (Syncretic Press, 2024, Argentina and United States), and the essay El otro lado de las cosas. La poesía como restauración de una voz en la obra de Diana Bellessi (Blatt & Ríos, 2016, Argentina).
She has led writing workshops since 2014. She teaches in the PAC artist training program (Gachi Prieto Gallery) and has been a mentor in the Cruceros program, a residency network between Latin America and Spain, since 2024. She received the FNA Creation and Project Completion Grants to work on her first novel, El precioso ruido de un corazón. She participated in the Can Serrat residency (Barcelona) with this same project.
Natalia is in residence at Can Serrat from August to October 2024.
