Angelina Ferrero Díaz

Angelina Ferrero is an interdisciplinary artist born and raised in Lima, Perú (1985). She studied Architecture at the University of Virginia UVA (Virginia, US) and at the Pontificia Universidad Católica PUCP (Lima, Peru). At the age of 21, she started a committed yoga practice and got certified as a yoga instructor. She designed, opened and run Espacioyoga Perú and currently leads yoga and meditation classes and retreats. Angelina started taking writing courses (2015) and graduated from the Creative Master´s Program at PUCP (2022). She has published poetry, a children´s book and her art shows Retratos Ciegos and Memoramas combined blind drawings, collage and poetry. She was part of the Canserrat Residency Program during April and May of 2023. Her current work is focused on weaving recycled materials, poetry, memory and walking. Minibosques and Microrelatos are both projects that explore the fabrication of amulets / objectual poems. Angelina currently teaches at the university and creative writing workshops in Lima.

Angelina makes her residency at Can Serrat during the months of May-June 2023.
