Samreen Sultan was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. Before receiving her bachelor’s degree from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (IVS) she did her graduation in commerce and left her masters in between since she could not ignore her love for art anymore. Therefore she continued her studies in art and graduated from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (IVS) in 2014 with Zahoor Ul Akhlaq Award for the best drawing portfolio in Fine Art.

She has participated in a number of exhibitions since her student days. Selected exhibitions include: Group show at T2F (The Second Floor), Exhibited paintings at ‘Safarnama’, Karachi, in 2013; Group show, ‘Up, Down, Inside and Out’ of IVS students at Jamshed Nusserwanjee School, Karachi, in 2014 and IVS Thesis Display in December 2014; Group show, VM Art Gallery, Karachi, in 2015; One month resident at ‘Studio BQ Artist Residency’, 2015, Lahore; Group show at Gallery 39k Lahore, in 2015, participated in Incubarte 7 International Art Festival in Valencia, Spain, exhibited her work in a three-person show at VM Art Gallery, Karachi, Group show at FOMMA, Group show; ‘Is Saye kay Parcham Talay’, IVS Gallery, Karachi in Jan 2016 and continues to exhibit her work in Pakistan as well as internationally.
