Katrina Ralbag is a writer based in New York City. Her work explores grief, identity, intimacy, and the weird, sometimes funny mess of being human. She’s currently working on a memoir-in-fragments about the suicide of her older brother, touching on sibling dynamics, mental illness, the long ripple effects of childhood, and dating misadventures in the aftermath of loss. It also reckons with the earlier death of her father and the emotional weight both losses left behind.
Katrina’s writing comes from life, not a classroom. Her voice is honest, a little dark, sometimes funny, and always personal. She’s excited to join Can Serrat to keep working on her book and to connect with other artists along the way.
Katrina Ralbag will be in residence at Can Serrat in October 2025.
