Art historian, art writer and curator of contemporary art.
Her research focuses in particular on artistic processes that interrogate new media and/or express themselves through them, with a focus on the anthropological and perceptual implications that techno-capitalism, migratory phenomena and environmental alterations are having on individual and collective identities, on the physical and mental spaces we inhabit.
She has exhibited and developed projects at numerous contemporary art venues, including: I and II edition Something Else – Off Biennale Cairo (2015, 2018), 56th and 57th Venice Art Biennale (2015, 2017), 15th Venice International Architecture Biennale (2016), Media Art Festival Maxxi Prize (2016), 15th Istanbul Biennale (2017), Berlin Art Week (2017), Manifesta 12 Collateral Events Palermo (2018), MACRO Museum, Rome (2012); AW Museum, Iksan, South Korea (2018); Silent Barn, New York (2014).
Her latest ongoing project “THE ETERNAL BODY. The human senses as a laboratory of power between climate crisis and transhumanism’, represents a study and investigation of the social and cultural categories of olfactory pollution and noise pollution, through contemporary art, techno/design, neuroscience, visual and digital culture. Conducted since 2021, thanks to the ITALIAN COUNCIL award, (9th edition 2020), a programme for the international promotion of Italian art by the General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, it was presented, among others, at “L’Orientale” University of Naples, Tor Vergata University of Rome, GAD-Giudecca Art District Venice, Re:Humanism Cultural Project, Concordia University Montreal, PoliDesign Milan, RWTH Aachen University, Palazzo delle Esposizioni Rome, Elisir TV Rai 3, Pitti Fragranze Firenze 2022, Bs-Bg 2023 Capitali Italiane della Cultura, ISEA 2024.
