Clara Camins is a psychologist with a master’s degree in Psychosocial Intervention from the University of Barcelona. She is the creator of Origen Salvaje (Wild Origin), a community that promotes personal and collective transformation processes through art, psychology, and spirituality.
Her work stems from the conviction that many individual ailments have collective roots, and that restoring the social fabric is a fundamental protective factor for people. Most of her practice is structured around art and the telling of life stories, with the aim of integrating them and giving them new value.
She participated in the creation of a book that compiles the experiences of several Mapuche community leaders, with the goal of empowering future generations of girls. There, she understood that writing is not only a refuge, but also a vehicle that allows one to give voice, wings, and a sense of belonging. Finding oneself in words—one’s own and others’—facilitates approaching socially rejected emotions and experiences and understanding them from a different perspective. Writing thus becomes a gesture that is both political and poetic, where building community, through support and collective dialogue, gives meaning to the creative and evolutionary process of individuals.
