Vero López Olivera is a DJ and performing artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
She is the author of two theatre plays: Corazones Salvajes (staged at Timbre 4 and Teatro La Carpintería) and her latest work En el Pacífico las olas rompen más fuerte. Her fiction story Volcán de Unicornios was published in eldiarioar.com in November 2024.
As a DJ (@djpiwi), she blends techno, house, and acid with Latin American rhythms. In 2019, she closed the 8M March in Piazza Santo Spirito, Florence, Italy. She has performed at the Bienal de Arte Joven, the CCK Dome, and has opened for Bandalos Chinos, FMK, among others. She produced 25 editions of Silent Party at the Centro Cultural Recoleta.
As a performing artist, her most recent appearance was in La Noche devora a sus hijos, written and directed by Daniel Veronese. She has participated in plays, festivals, and tours across Argentina, Colombia (La Vida es Sueño at Teatro Libre, winner of Iberescena), Mexico (Festival Cervantino), Cuba (Casa Tomada at Casa de las Américas), Ecuador (Muégano Teatro), Bolivia, and Peru.
Together with the group UmaMinga, she organized ELTI (Encuentro Latinoamericano de Teatro Independiente) in Buenos Aires, which received Special Mentions at the María Guerrero Awards, Teatro del Mundo Awards, and the Luisa Vehil Award.
Vero López Olivera will be in residence at Can Serrat in 2025.
