Øystein Wyller Odden (b. 1983 in Telemark) is educated from the Academy of Fine Art in Oslo (BA 2009). His work with light, objects, and installations is characterized by an intense aestheticism and fascination for technology. He has previously exhibited at venues such as Henie Onstad Art Center, The North Norwegian Art Center, Fotogalleriet, Norwegian Drawing Association and Tromsø Art Association, as well as Ciant Gallery (Prague), Label 201 (Rome) and Møstings Hus (Copenhagen).

I make primarily installations and objects, often in relation to sound and light. The works seek to expose and examine structures in a given material. This material is often media technologies and the rooms the technologies belong to, but also the perceptual apparatus, as the target for the technologies. Currently, I am working with investigations of trance-like modes of perception induced by simple visual and auditory stimuli.
