About the place
Can Serrat is an international artist residency located in El Bruc, a rural village at the foot of Montserrat Mountain (Catalonia). The residency welcomes artists and writers of diverse disciplines and backgrounds, and provides a collaborative space for experimentation and critical reflection on art, literature, and their role in society.
Internship Description
Within the framework of the Campos Rurales (Rural Fields) program, we offer an internship for individuals interested in cultural management, rural life, and contemporary creative processes. The main goal of the internship is to introduce the selected candidate to the day-to-day functioning of a self-managed artist residency that works with both literary and visual projects.
Main Tasks

Support with administration and logistics (calendar tracking, coordination of spaces and resources, daily management tasks).

Collaboration on external communication (updating social media, newsletters, documentation of activities).

Assistance in organizing public cultural activities (literary readings, project presentations, gatherings).

Participation in team meetings and collective decision-making processes.
Profile of the Student
We are looking for a student currently pursuing university or vocational studies in cultural management, fine arts, literature, humanities, communication, social education, or similar fields. The candidate should be interested in gaining experience in the field of contemporary culture and artist residencies.
The ideal student is curious about creative processes, has sensitivity toward rural and community contexts, and shows an openness to collective, intercultural, and self-managed work.
Desirable skills:

Autonomy, responsibility, and eagerness to learn.

Basic knowledge of digital tools (Google Drive, social media, Canva, etc.).

Language skills (Spanish, Catalan, English, or French).

Previous experience in cultural, literary, or social projects (not mandatory).
