Cecilia Bello Barbé

 

Born in Montevideo in 1989, she is a History teacher, visual expression workshop facilitator, and writer. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and Education from the Universidad de la República (UdelaR). She completed training in psychocorporal and transpersonal therapies for human development through the Río Abierto System (Uruguay and Spain).

Since 2018, she has led writing workshops through the creative project La Casa de Chiche y Oma, engaging with themes of identity and memory. She has designed and facilitated writing workshops with the Program for People with Disabilities of the Montevideo City Council and with Germina Bookshop, also in Montevideo. In 2024, she conducted writing and creation workshops in Barcelona at Espai Comunitari 3 Ulls (Trinitat Nova) and at Prole Bookshop.

She is included in the anthology La desconocida que soy (Índigo Editoras, 2018). She is currently writing her first novel, with creative and editorial support from Casa Índigo (Spain).

Cecilia Bello is in residence at Can Serrat in January 2026.
