Emma Fernandez

Emma Fernandez, a graduate of the Fine Arts School in Angoulême, is developing a multi-disciplinary approach (photography, publishing, writing, textiles, performance, video). His work is based on a variety of documents anchored in political, historical or intimate contexts. These fragments feed into a montage of images and narratives.

He explores the polyphony of voices and registers, and the transformation of images using a variety of techniques ( silkscreen printing, sewing, embroidery, collage, drawing). Another facet of his work focuses on collective creation of events, workshops, tools and stories. He likes building things with others, scrapbooking and walks in the forest.

Emma will be in residence at Can Serrat from July to November 2025.
