Denise Menache

She holds a degree in Arts and is a certified Arts Teacher, having studied at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the University of Buenos Aires and completed the Master’s in Cinema, Languages, and Literature at Université Paris Diderot-Paris VII in France. Her commitment to democratizing high-quality culture and enriching the artistic, educational, and pedagogical landscape has led her to work in various spaces dedicated to cultural promotion for a broad and diverse audience, from international film and theater festivals to a major publishing group. She runs a virtual space for workshops and consulting.

Since 2019, she has been training in Natalia Romero’s poetry workshops. In 2023, she was selected for Laura Wittner’s poetry clinic at Casa de la Escritura in Buenos Aires and was a resident at Tribu de Trueno (Bariloche, Argentina). She is currently working on her first poetry collection.

She draws inspiration from nature, cities, people, emotions, upheavals, and calmness. The mountains and the sound of the sea are recurring elements in her work. Her poems reflect both movement and stillness, as well as keen observation. Her fascination with analog photography and cinema sharpens her eye for detail. She writes images rather than memories. She writes about possibilities.

Denise will be in residence at Can Serrat in May 2025.
