Tinna Pimentel has studied architecture and fine arts. She lives and works in Salvador, Bahia, Brasil. She is a multidisciplinary artist who works with painting, objects, photography and video installation. Her work mostly deals with questions of urban landscape and the relation between people and cities. She began working on her current project in Assis (Italy) in 2015, continued working on it in Igatu (Brasil) and now in 2016 at Can Serrat.
My residency at Can Serrat is very important for my ongoing project. The most important aspects are landscape, cultural differences and a region surrounded by mountains. The mountainous environments help to immerse into the study and to reflect the spiritually-related questions. In my work, I like to reflect on contemporary human life and the search for spirituality and transcendence.
