Teresa Benítez was born on September 7, 1992, in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. From a young age, she was taught that the only god worth worshipping was reason: she is a lawyer and holds a master’s degree in criminal law from the University of San Andrés. But poetry demanded its place. For years, she attended writing and reading workshops where she championed a time free from laws and certainties. This year, she completed the coursework for a Master’s degree in Creative Writing offered by the University of Tres de Febrero. A web of coincidences returned to her what was rightfully hers: the intoxicating light of what does not exist. She understands life as a fabulous tapestry that demands its destiny, fraught with contradictions. Above all, she strives to listen, and she writes.
