Sean Sleppy

Sean Sleppy is a multi-disciplinary maker with a specialty in woodworking, and interests in graffiti, collage and drawing. He has worked professionally as an independent contractor for almost 10 years, creating unique indoor and outdoor living spaces using a wide variety of materials. His creative goals and artistic inspirations have developed alongside technical construction experience, to create a concise, colorful blend of functional pieces. He enjoys displaying fine art with handmade mats and frames that are designed with the artwork in mind. Through combining simple methods, textures and colors in nuanced ways, Sean has built one of a kind frames that complement and elevate any art, and hold their own expressive value. Sean’s practice is a mixture of established construction & artistic processes and a re-shaping of content from comic books, font/letter studies, music, architectural design and the natural environment. He works to build a better understanding of how the presentation and framing of different mediums and subjects can change one’s feelings toward them.
