Rachel Mascaardo

Rachel Mascardo, also known as Rae, is a multidisciplinary artist whose work lives at the intersection of creative photography, sound, movement, and visual experimentation. With foundations in music and a deep-rooted love for storytelling, Rae’s artistic practice continues to evolve—recently expanding to include painting and dance as new languages of expression.

Known for her evocative portrait photography and intuitive approach to image-making, she brings a sense of intimacy and emotional resonance to every medium she explores. Whether behind the lens, composing a melody, or moving through space, Rae seeks moments of connection, spontaneity, and vulnerability.

Her current explorations reflect a curiosity about embodiment, presence, and play—often blurring the lines between performance and documentation. With a spirit grounded in both practice and process, Rae approaches her work as a lifelong unfolding of creativity and self-discovery.

Rachel Mascardo will be in residence at Can Serrat in October 2025.
