Mamoun is a Moroccan sound artist based in Madrid.

His journey in sound began in the heart of Madrid’s underground electronic music scene, where, under the alias findPeaks, he successfully transformed his passion for music into DJ sets.

As his collective Kommune began to gain recognition both locally and nationally, Mamoun started a residency as a host at the renowned Madrid-based experimental radio station RADIO RELATIVA, where he currently hosts two programs:

Radio Programs:

Found In Translation explores traditional Arabic and North African sounds, fusing them with diverse Western musical currents—both contemporary and historical.

The program seeks to highlight cultural diversity within alternative music, while weaving connections with Mamoun’s personal roots.

His second program, Vocablos Rebeldes (Rebellious Words), places words at the center, treating them like the conductor of an orchestra. This space experiments with improvised spoken word
alongside various melodies, guiding them to tell stories, evoke emotions, or shift moods. Vocablos Rebeldes has been on the air for more than three seasons.

Sound Installations and Live Performance:

Over time, Vocablos Rebeldes evolved beyond the radio format into a hybrid live performance and sound installation. In this adaptation, Mamoun delves deeper into his interdisciplinary approach, combining his distinctive prose, already vocalized into a microphone in multiple languages, with live vocal effects, field recordings, and an experimental ambient mix to imbue the sound with a narrative and conceptual charge.
