Isabel Torres

Isabel Torres has been interested in maintaining an active dialogue between artistic disciplines such as film, painting, and performance. The exploration spaces she engages in as an artist address key themes such as the unconscious memory of childhood and mystical games as a tool for psychoanalysis. Her paintings function as oneiric documents, where futuristic architectures, horizons, and space fragmentation engage in dialogue to generate utopian places. In her performances, the concepts of the ordinary and the popular are evident to evoke reminiscences from dreams and the unconscious.
