French-born, Parisian artist Carolyn Cardinet now lives and works in Australia.

She received a Master of Fine Arts in 2012 (RMIT) and was a recipient of a BFA in 2004 from the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne University.  Carolyn initially studied painting but moved towards a practice in assemblages, sculpture and site-specific installations that explore the sensorial quality of ‘the discarded’ in nature.  Passionate about the alarming rate of environmental change, Carolyn creates new forms out of discards. Her sculptural pieces reflect upon the affect and effect plastic manufacturing and consumerism has on our ecosystem.
