Social communicator, journalist, and amateur artist from Zipaquirá, Colombia. She is interested in scriptwriting for audiovisual media and using communication tools for social transformation. She has participated in the formulation and implementation of training initiatives with children in projects such as: Fotocuentos, storytelling with images (2017); Taller Cuadro a Cuadro, concepts of photography focused on stop-motion animation (2022), through the Municipal Stimuli Portfolio of Zipaquirá; and with the collective Comunicación en Campo: Mi Vereda Sueña, a project supported by the National Stimuli Program of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Knowledge (2023).

Jimena will be in residence at Can Serrat from August to November 2024.
