Hanne Ekkeren

Her projects are based on investigations of a specific space, or how we generally relate and connect to an area. They comment on the political, cultural, and social implications of urban development, how it affects the spaces we inhabit, and the way we use them.

Some projects have a specific focus on places that seem to be invisible or left over. These places often have significance and value to people on the fringes of society.
Hanne works at the sight, taking photographs, molds, drawing, and collecting materials. This is processed further into drawings, sculptures, installations, and texts.

Hanne will be in residence at Can Serrat during the month of August 2022
