Andrea Icaza-Largaespada

Andi Icaza-Largaespada is an artist, researcher, and facilitator with ties and responsibilities to Nicaragua, Central America, and BIPOC and immigrant communities in so-called Canada and abroad. Her work observes belonging and resistance, searching for possibilities within tensions. Queer theory, archives, and ecology inform their interdisciplinary audiovisual and writing practice. She holds a BFA in Visual Art (SFU 2017), and is actively working on a visual storytelling practice focused on grief and expanded archives.

Andi makes her residence in Can Serrat during the month of February 2023.
