Juan Camilo Parra Avila

Juan Parra is a philosopher, writer, and cultural manager, graduated from the Universidad Industrial de Santander. He has stood out for his work in promoting writing and historical memory within local communities. Founder of the collective Los Eudaimones and the publishing house Espeletia Ediciones, he has led the writing workshops En el oficio de vivir, which earned him the VII National Library Award in 2022.

As a columnist for Al Poniente and El Espectador, he addresses cultural and social issues. He is also the creator of the podcast Testimonios de vida and the program Tiempos post-modernos.

Juan Camilo will undertake his residency at Can Serrat in November 2024.
