Licia Pizzi is a writer. She lives and works in Naples, her adopted city. She studied Oriental Languages and Civilisations at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”, where she was a lecturer in the written Italian language laboratory. She published the novels Scrivi per me (2006) and Del fare e del disfare (2017) with OXP – Orientexpress.
Her novel Piena di Grazia (Ad est dell’Equatore, 2018) was selected to participate in the LXXIII edition of the Strega Prize. With his novel Carbone (Caffèorchidea, 2022) he was among the five finalists of the 4th edition of the Neri Pozza National Prize for Literature.
In her writing, she investigates the “unrepresentable and dark” side of the feminine. She has a controversial relationship with time and numbers, if not with words themselves. She relies on doubt.
Licia makes her residency at Can Serrat in September 2023.
