Writer. Ph.D. in Hispanic Language and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh. Winner of the Cultural and Creative Criticism Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture of Colombia twice in a row as director of the literary criticism project Aluvión (2020 and 2021). She was one of the winning storytellers within the Future Writers-Editorial Laboratory project within the framework of the celebrations Bogotá Capital of the book in 2007. Her poems have been included in more than a dozen anthologies and specialized magazines, and some have been translated into German. As an essayist and literary critic, she has written for Aluvión, Viacuarenta, Huellas, La trenza, Literalidad, El heraldo, and the Argentine magazine Abisinia Review, where she was content editor of the queer section between 2019 and 2022. Among her published books are the poetry collections Derivas de la Piel (2020), Panóptico (2005), and Laberíntica (2000). In 2022, she was the compiler and essayist of the critical anthology of migrant authors from the Colombian Caribbean: El territorio ausente with the Aluvión project, in association with editorial Mackandal and with the support of the Ministry of Culture. She currently works at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of the Atlantic as a professor and researcher in the field of literature.
