Eliana Tomassini

 

Eliana Tomassini was born on 23/02/1988 in Punta Alta, Buenos Aires, Argentina. She holds a degree in Economics from UNMDP and a Master’s in Creative Writing from UNTREF.

For the past ten years, she has been living in Buenos Aires, where she has taken writing workshops with poets such as Diana Bellessi, Osvaldo Bossi, Natalia Romero, Olivia Milberg, and Ana Claudia Diaz. Additionally, she has studied singing and theater and has taken courses in Scriptwriting and Film Production.

Between 2018 and 2019, Eliana organized two cycles of poetry and music called Floresta Unplugged and La letra chica. During the same period, she hosted an online radio program called Manija Suelta on Gypsy Radio. In August 2019, she published her first poetry book, “Algún recuerdo de intimidad,” edited by Alción Editora. In August 2020, she participated in an Argentine anthology edited by Agua viva ediciones titled “Otras nosotras mismas,” paying tribute to the poet Olga Orozco. In July 2021, she was selected to participate in the poetry anthology “Cuerpos en los márgenes” by Entropía Ediciones, Spain.

Currently, Eliana, along with two other writers, organizes the poetry and music cycle “Otra ronda.” She has just completed the writing of her second poetry book, “Es el frío.” Her third poetry book is currently in progress.

Eliana did her residency at Can Serrat in November 2023.
