En 2023 fue seleccionado para la Residencia de Escritura de Can Serrat, en El Bruc, Catalu\u00f1a, Espa\u00f1a. En 2020 recibi\u00f3 el Premio Nacional de Libro de Cuento de la UIS y el Premio de Cr\u00f3nica Ciudad de Bogot\u00e1. En 2017 fue seleccionado por la Fundaci\u00f3n Gabo como ganador de la beca de Periodismo Cultural Gabriel Garc\u00eda M\u00e1rquez, y en 2015 obtuvo el Premio de Novela de la Gobernaci\u00f3n de Santander. En 2012 gan\u00f3 el Premio de Cuento de la Gobernaci\u00f3n de Cundinamarca y en 2008, el Premio Nacional de Cuento RCN-MEN.
