Sitora Takanaev es una directora de cine que vive y trabaja en Milwaukee, WI. Graduada en la Taskent Dtat Institute of Arts, y en la Milwaukee Area Technical College. Nacida en Tashkent, Uzbekistan, empez\u00f3 a trabajar en un programa de televisi\u00f3n cuando ten\u00eda 15 a\u00f1os, y empez\u00f3 a dirigir y producir para televisi\u00f3n a la edad de 20. Su carrera en televisi\u00f3n incluye numerosos trabajos documentales para PBS (televisi\u00f3n p\u00fablica) y un premio Emmy en 2013.<\/p>\n

In 2014 she shifted her focus to fiction film and directed a kids short film titled Balloons. This film went to screen in over 40 film festivals around the world, including acclaimed Seattle Children\u2019s Film Festival and Tiff Kids (Toronto International Film Festival). She directed 5 short films since 2014 and screened her work in the festivals all over the world.<\/p>\n
